Naafis

Learn, challenge, compete

A live quiz on the classroom screen. Students join from their phones with a single code, and those without a phone take part with a paper card. The teacher leaves with a report showing which questions the class found hard.

The problem

The teacher asks, the same students answer every time, the rest stay silent, and nobody knows who understood the lesson until the test.

Features

  • Join with a code: no account, no download.
  • Paper cards read by the teacher's phone for students without a device.
  • Understands Arabic answers as students type them (spelling variants and every form of numerals).
  • Modes for the whole lesson: race, teams, homework, polls and word clouds.
  • Many question types, including typed answers, ordering and geometric shapes.
  • A class report after every session, in Arabic and English.
  • Room for a full class and more: tested on production servers with 1,000 players in one session without losing a single answer.

Who is it designed for, and who is it not right for?

Right for

Teachers and schools, and anyone running a training session or event.

Not right for

Formal exams that need proctoring and identity checks.

What we keep about students

In a teacher account we don't store a student's real name, and nicknames pass through a filter that blocks inappropriate words. School accounts come with a processing agreement in which the school confirms parental consent.
